My life is really not that interesting, not really amusing, unless you're the type of person who gets a thrill out of hearing that:
- Bell Canada completely cancelled my fiber Internet connection as a result of porting two phone lines, should be logically unrelated but cancelled nonetheless as they required a "dry loop" number, which happened to coincide with one the lines ported.
- As a result, I had to move the servers to a data center temporarily until if and when the fiber is turned back on at home,
- During the troubleshooting of the Internet not working, I wiped the config from the router, not realizing that the backup-config did not have the OpenSsl certs backed up... thus VPN users needed to have all certs re-keyed and redeployed,
- Almost an entire day spent on this, and in traffic because Toronto has construction on a major highway going into the downtown core (With the usual one person doing the work and three others smoking and "supervising")
Its temporary until likely sometime next week, but if you have any connection problems please let me know, check your router to make sure the 38 subnet is not blocked (Cogent)
