• Migrate SBBS Data Windows -> Linux?

From SBDSTech@1:103/705 to All on Tue May 19 04:06:44 2026
Is there any way to bring my Windows data files over to the Linux version?

Was looking thru the Wiki and couldn't find any info regarding this ..

    Thanks :)

I moved my Synchronet BBS from Windows to Linux a few years ago, and simply copied the files over. They're the same format, so you don't need to do any conversion, and Synchronet for Linux will be able to use them without any problems.

The only issue I had when I tested it out a while ago were hard-coded
paths. I had some paths down as c:\sbbs\ instead of relative paths - and switched all of the forward slashes to backslashes.
