Can I grow my own cherry tomatoes in a flower pot?
Not sure about your area but I can here. I have square-ish pots that are roughly 1 foot tall and 9 inches wide... I think that comes out to 30.5cm and ~23cm, respectively. I have grown a single cherry tomato plant in each pot nearly every year since 2009. Just finished eating the first fruits with my lunch. ;)
Depending on the variety, I have had some vines that have grown up the trellis behind the pots to about 5-6ft tall (~1.525-1.83m).
Just as long as you don't put them out until after the last threat of a freeze or frost, and they get plenty of sunlight and enough water, they should be fine.
