• Netmail Not Appearing In Email

From Basis@1:103/705 to All on Thu May 22 18:36:08 2025
    Hello,
I am trying to troubleshoot an issue where sent netmail isn't showing up in my email lists.

I have a few FTN networks and I am able to send correctly. I see a notification that I have a new direct net message, but when I go in to my email list I don't see anything - only local email.

Running new installation of synchronet 3.20d on Windows. Any pointers in the correct direction would be helpful - thanks!

Your email list is normally just email sent to you. Are you checking the "sent mail" list (i.e. 'K' command from the E-mail menu)?

Running new installation of synchronet 3.20d on Windows. Any pointers in the correct direction would be helpful - thanks!

You can also use smbutil or the "mail" sysop command (while online in the Terminal server) to view the entire mail base, which includes all inbound and outbound mail for all users.

Thanks. That's interesting - I see replies to me with ;mail that do not show up in my email inbox from FTN networks.

Background - trying to get some FTN message networks working. I sent a netmail to areafix@46:1/100 (agoranet) with a subscribe command and another help command. They came back and are showing to my Real Name in ;mail. Maybe the mail subsystem doesn't know to tie the reply to my real name to handle - or something similar? What's odd is I think I recieved the notification between screens while online.

Always learning new things - thanks.

What user number are those replies addressed to? A dump of the header fields for those messages would be helpful to find out why.

No, it knows how to do that.

    Not sure what that means.
