That I'm trying to "re-start" the FrontDoor project, to some degree.

I made an attempt 2017-2018, which resulted in a hardware crash. I thought all the time and effort I had put into that attempt was lost. But it appears I may have actually saved stuff in another place too.

So, this will be my second attempt att "re-starting" (or "re-booting") the FrontDoor project.

We shall see how it goes, and where it takes FrontDoor.

I have been preparing for the pending Zombie Apocalypse where everything will be going back to analog lines to communicate. I believe BBSing with FrontDoor will be cutting edge technology once again.

JoHo, I don't know what you know since your absence... There is an open source program called BinkD that we use to send mail around the net now a days. It uses Binkley Style system to do so... Nick Andre, who is the current developer of D'Bridge has found someway to integrate the 2.

    Anyways, I'm all in...

BTW, I have been running FD in OS/2... Well the newer version called ArcaOS.

    Good luck!!!

Let's hope you're not right on that one. But maybe it can be the "fun edge technology" at least :-)

Yes, I'm aware of BinkD. And as it happens, I am looking at the protocol specifications. We shall see what 2025 has in store for FrontDoor.

But given that it's not anything that pays the rent for me, I will need to keep my daytime job going :-)

There are many things I'd do differently if I started from scratch, but I think that's called "growing up" or "learning new things".

    Good luck!!!

    Thank you.

No roadmap, no promises. But me wanting to do something with it all is sort of an important first step ;-)

There's Win32 and there's Linux, of course. Both of which will require re-writing plenty of code.

    But we shall see...
