    Hi All,

Since we're all posting chili recipes. Here's the one my wife makes that is a clone
of the Wendy's chili. It needs a lot of spice added to your bowl as this doesn't have any heat at all.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 by AccuChef (tm) www.AccuChef.com

    Title: Wendy's Chili Clone (Andrea's)
    Categories: Crockpot
    Yield: 6 Servings

    1 lb Ground Beef
    2 c Beef Broth
    1/4 c Strained Tomatoes
    1/2 T Chili Powder
    2 t Minced Garlic
    1/4 t Tex Mex Seasoning
    1 1/2 c Celery,Chopped
    1 c Onion,Chopped
    1 c Mushroom,Chopped
    1 c Red Bell Peppers,Chopped

[Note: Andrea's slow cooked chili. You can add beans if you wish and it
will be a pretty darn close clone of the chili Wendy's serves in Canada.
    ]
Brown the beef first, add to slow cooker, then add vegetables and
seasoning. Turn slow cooker to high for 4 hours
and leave on warm setting after that. Serve and enjoy.

What's your favorite way to serve the chili?

Mine is "chili cheese fries." I make a batch of oven fries, top each
serving with chili and some grated cheese.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: Chili (Dokuja)
    Categories: Chilli, Crockpot
    Yield: 8 Servings

2 lb Meat or meat substitute
    1 lg Onion
14 oz Can fire roasted tomatoes
    14 oz Can tomato sauce
    4 cl Garlic
    3 tb Chili powder
    1 ts Black pepper
    1 ts Cumin
    1 ts Allspice
    2 ts Oregano
    1 ts Paprika
    1 c Dried pinto beans
    1 c Dried black beans

Pre-soak the dried beans overnight. A quick soak of the beans can be
performed by adding water covering 2" over the beans, boiling the
beans for at least 1 minute and let the beans soak off heat for 1
    hour.

If using ground meat, brown the meat in a pan.

Chop the onion and garlic. Mince if preferred.

Add the ingredients to slow cooker. Mix the ingredients.

Set on high for at 6 hours or 8 on low heat.

Pull meat if necessary (not ground or cubed...)

    Serve. Enjoy.

I'm pretty boring. In a bowl works best for me. ;)

Mine is "chili cheese fries." I make a batch of oven fries, top each serving with chili and some grated cheese.

That is always good as well.
