I have the JavaScript Chess game set up on my BBS, and recently I noticed that it doesn't run anymore due to the following error:
!JavaScript ../xtrn/chess/chess.js line 229: TypeError: chesschat.Cycle is not a function

This door used to run on my BBS, and I hadn't touched any of the Chess door files. I updated to the latest version from CVS, but this error is still there. Is there a fix for this? I'm guessing there must be a JavaScript file or something that I'm missing?

Been doing a bit of work on the game as of late. If you're running the latest CVS revision you will have to also get the newer communications engine for it to work:

exec\commservice.js (instructions are in the script)
ctrl\commsync.ini (customize for your bbs)
exec\load\commclient.js
exec\load\filesync.js
exec\load\chateng.js (has been updated for newer service)

Let me know how that works out.. as this is still under development, you might run into some server connectivity problems as i make more changes.

You'll have to put commservice.js in your ctrl\services.ini file

I'll try to keep the updates spread out a bit so you dont have to download new copies of everything every 10 minutes
