• Shells: Roguelike

    From Mindless Automaton@VERT/ELDRITCH to DOVE-Net.Programming_(Jav on Wed Aug 30 19:03:00 2006
I've been working on a shell for my BBS that is similar to a roguelike
game (ie. Nethack, Angband, Moria, Adom, etc.)

Although incomplete (you can walk around, but thats about it), I have it available as a demo on my BBS. Its also available to the guest account.

    Questions, comments, etc. appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Mindless Automaton

Alright, so having had a look, do you think writing a game using
javascript? Its just the default shell slopped up to pretend to
    be a game. :)

How hard do you think it'd be to code it to be multinode so you could
    see another user walking around?

    Thanks,

Well, you have file access and file locking, so it'd be no harder than writing such a thing in any other language.

So in other words no matter what language I code in, I have to learn it
before I can code something. ;)

    Rats..
