    One thing this Gen X'er is starting to notice is the inability of (mostly) younger people to solve their problems without violence.

    One thing this Gen X'er has noticed is people's general inability to be kind. I don't believe there is a more correct response.

    More correct than violence? If that is the case you are part of the problem.
